Fall Ball 2012

The girls continue to play fastpitch this fall. Abby is playing for the 14u PNW Force and Gracie is playing for the 12u TABU Scramblers. They have a few tournaments through the beginning of October and then winter practices before they get in shape for spring fastpitch. Yeah, it's pretty much fastpitch 24/7 at our house. Most weekends, Andreas goes with one kid and I go with the other!

Here is Grace last weekend after her team took 1st place in the USSSA tournament in Auburn, WA!

 Way to go ladies!

Look out!

"Z"... from beginning to end...

So, I've been contemplating a way to finish up the alphabet blog for quite a while and couldn't come up with anything good for Z so I thought I would reflect on where I began with this blog and where we are today...

Here are my girlies, Easter 2008

And here they are now... August 2012.  I can't believe how much they have grown in 4 years!
.... now that I am finished with my alphabet blogging, maybe I can stay more current with all our adventures... or something like that!  :)

Y is for Yellow

Thanks to Pinterest, I have been baking and cooking all sorts of new recipes. A few days ago I found a recipe for these amazing looking lemon cupcakes, so I created my own version yesterday! They were super tasty! I substituted applesauce for oil in a box cake mix, and added a little lemon zest. The best part is the little dollup of lemon pudding in the middle and the frosting is cream cheese, lemon juice, butter and powdered sugar. The little lemon drop makes a nice garnish! So cute!

X is for... fireworks?!?

W is for Winter Carnival Weekend at White Pass

We had a lot of FUN in the snow at White Pass for their annual winter carnival.

One of the gorgeous views from the slopes!

Andreas made a tasty breakfast... one of our favs, Eggs Benedict.

No TV in the condo, so we spent some time playing cards. Grace cleaned up with a FULL HOUSE!

We love fresh POW! Andreas sunk in this powder up to his eyes!

Sisterly LOVE... pulling your sis out of a snow bank.

T is for time...

Time:

to finish the alphabet blog..

to start a new job...

to get my priorities in life straight...

I have accepted a new nursing position at St. Clare. Starting this fall I will transition out of the ED manager role and into SWAT. Time for a change and time to get back to what I love about nursing. I am ready for a new chapter to begin. It's time.
